The change agent

Rajiv Poddar is the Executive Director of Balkrishna Industries, a conglomerate known for its flagship brand BKT, one of the leaders in off-highway tyres. Rajiv completed his Graduation in Business Management from the Kingston University, London. He then joined his father, a noted industrialist Arvind Poddar at BKT. He trained extensively at the company?s factories and travelled across all its markets, thereby developing a deep understanding of all aspects of business.

Taking the cue from the Indian economy, BKT is on a stable ground and moving fast on the growth path, with consistent strive to push the boundaries.With an objective of 35 percent y.o.y growth, and achieving the same (on average basis) for the past decade, BKT is continuing this momentum in the new decade also.

BKT setting up greenfield plant

BKT Tyres is setting up its fourth plant as a Greenfield facility, wh?i?ch is coming up in Bhuj, Gujarat. According to the company, the construction has already been started, which is in full swing.
